The blue sapphire gemstone, Septembers’ birthstone, promotes purity and wisdom, inner vision and clarity for the wearer. The Zodiac sign is a maiden, associated with chastity yes, but also with fertility. The month of September is bountiful harvest time, and Virgo being an earth sign is all about fecundity and plenty.

Wear your sapphire gemstone, set in a broad wheat sheaf mount, to attract the abundance you deserve and to bring you creativity, wisdom and clarity.

* Sapphire and cz gemstones

* Brass with 18k gold

* All recycled metals

* Recycled and recyclable box

* Upcycled silk sari bag for safe keeping

The sapphire is a faceted deep blue stone in a wheat sheaf surround, symbolic of harvest time, fecundity and plenty with four tiny 1mm cz’s around it and a rope edge. The fleur de lis above it, holding the chain, is an ancient symbol of purity and of the Virgin Mary, the quintessential symbol both of maidenhood and fecundity.

The pendant is 18 x 20mm; the sapphire is 7x5mm and the cz’s are 1mm each. The pendant and chain are made from recycled brass with one micron of recycled 18k gold vermeil, so the gold should last well. The reason some of our pieces are made of brass, not silver, is that should the vermeil begin to wear off, it will not show nearly so much on brass thus giving your piece a long life of wear.  Please take care not to wear perfume near your gold chain and pendant as it erodes the gold vermeil.

The chain which is interspersed with tiny gold balls is 18 inches long in total, including a two-inch extension piece and fastens with a lobster claw.

All Gem Bazaar jewellery comes in a handsome, branded, recycled and recyclable box.
