Sculpted by Nature
Nature is our first muse ~ using only authentic gemstones and recycled metals, each organic, one of a kind piece, is made to be worn like a second skin.
Jewellery reimagined
At Gem Bazaar, our rings have become true signatures — loved for their radiant colour, fine craftsmanship and timeless beauty. Each one is plated with 2.5 microns of recycled 18k gold vermeil for lasting brilliance. Whether you’re drawn to bold, sculptural designs or refined, delicate bands, every piece is made to let you shine for years to come.
Your ears are precious to us
Which is why all our earrings are hypoallergenic. We always use .925 sterling silver as the base metal for all our earrings, before covering many of them in one micron of 18k gold.
So whichever earrings you choose, you can be confident your ears will not complain.
Planet Friendly
We have one beautiful world and we’d like it to stay that way. So all our metals are always recycled and we plant a tree with every order, through our partnership with Green Spark.
To date, we have planted a small forest in Honduras and are now restoring mangrove swamps in Kenya, one plant at a time.
An Indian Story
Our ties to India are long and deep ~ our family history in India goes back over 200 years. My great, great grandfather was in the Indian Civil Service and every generation since has lived there, up to the present day. My brother Simon runs a boutique hotel in Goa called Vivenda Dos Palhacos. Go and visit and mention the name Gem Bazaar…you’ll get a welcome and you might even get a free drink!
Giving Back
A small portion of every purchase goes to our chosen charity Future Hope. This brilliant charity gives the street children of Kolkata a home, an education and a future.
As I was born and brought up in Kolkata, and know the founders of Future Hope personally, it was an easy choice when it came to deciding on a charity. We love to support such a life changing cause.
A Family Busines
Gem Bazaar is a small family business. Stephen is our fantastic customer service/finance/admin man (and he says the main ‘chai walla’). I am the designer/creative person. One of our main models is our gorgeous daughter Elisabeth.
We love keeping things small and intimate and getting to know our clients individually. It makes for a much more rewarding experience.
Go Bespoke
Sometimes you just want what you want. We get that.
We can make most of our designs in your choice of gemstones. Or give us your design and we will create it for you.
Like this gorgeous solid gold and blue sapphire ring that we made for a lovely client. She was very happy, not only because it turned out so beautifully but because it worked out better value than a shop bought piece.
